The protection of your personal data is a task we take very seriously at PELAGUS CITY. For this reason, we have developed this Privacy Policy to keep you informed about the nature, types and purposes of the collection, use and processing of your personal data. In addition, we would like to inform you of your rights regarding the handling of your personal data by us.
As a data controller, PELAGUS CITY implements various technical and organizational measures to achieve the highest possible degree of protection of your personal data. However, there is no “guaranteed” safety both on and off the Internet.
This Privacy Policy is part of a larger project that we are currently implementing to comply with the national, European and international regulatory framework for the protection of personal data and privacy and in particular with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679 ) and the Greek executive laws.

Types of information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide you with services that meet your needs.
Typically, we collect the following:
- contact details (name/surname, email, work and home address, mobile and landline phone),
- information required to offer you better services (arrival and departure dates, date of birth, gender,
names and ages of your family members, room preferences, etc.), - information derived from visiting our website (cookies),
- “sensitive” data, such as allergies, which we handle with special care.
Why do we need your data?
Both when you receive information about our apartments and when you stay in them, you disclose some information about yourself to us, as explained in the previous paragraph. We will never ask for more information than is necessary to fulfill your requirements and communicate with you effectively. In general, we collect information about:
● to contact you when you ask us to book an apartment,
● to respond to your requests both before you come to the apartment and during your stay,
● to keep you informed about our offers,
● send you newsletters and similar informational material;
● to adapt our services to your personal preferences,
● to receive your feedback both during your stay and after departure
● to offer you special services during your stay
Consent
We always ask for your consent when we plan to use your personal data for purposes other than those directly related to our service. Such purposes include direct marketing (e.g. newsletters, promotional e-mails). We also ask for your consent when we ask for “sensitive” personal data such as your state of health or your nationality.

If you give us another person’s personal data, you are responsible for informing that person about the use of their data and obtaining their express consent that the data is provided for the above purposes. In any case, this Privacy Policy applies to any data acquired by third parties.
Disclosure of personal data
We will never disclose your data to third parties unless:
● we have your express consent,
● is necessary to facilitate you e.g. in a transfer service from an arrival point (eg airport) to your apartment
● when other companies or service providers carrying out business activities on our behalf need such data to fulfill their contractual obligations (credit card processing, marketing, etc.);
● required by law pursuant to a court order or following a relevant request from a competent authority (governmental, judicial, police, administrative or regulatory);
● in an emergency, such as protecting someone’s life, health or property.
When we disclose your data to third parties, as mentioned above, we take care to provide as little information as possible to achieve the specified purpose.
If there is no legal process to prohibit it, third parties are bound by PELAGUS CITY to protect your personal data in accordance with our policy and to comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
Personal Data Retention Period
We will retain your Personal Data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Statement, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Criteria used to determine retention periods include:
● the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide you with the services
● if there is a legal obligation to which PELAGUS CITY is subject (for example, some laws require us to keep records of your transactions for a certain period of time before we can delete them)
● if retention is appropriate, taking into account our legal position (such as for statute of limitations, judicial or regulatory inquiries);
● after the end of the retention period, your personal data is destroyed, deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
You should be aware that under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have certain rights regarding your personal data held by us. Specifically, you can request:
● give you a copy of your data;
● correct your data if you believe it is inaccurate;
● delete your data, if there are specific reasons to do so;
● restrict the processing applied to your data,
● give you your data in an appropriate format and transfer it to another Company,
● stop the processing of your data provided to us through consent and in particular those used for marketing purposes.

You may be asked for some form of identification (e.g. a photocopy of your ID or passport) to prevent unauthorized disclosure of your personal data.
To ensure that your personal data is always accurate and up-to-date, we recommend that you keep us informed of your data as required (e.g. if you change your street address or email address).
